Pictures are back! :)

I’m adding this photo of Steve to test things. And so that I can look at it a little more …

Be still my heart …

No, this time it isn’t from looking at handsome photos of my husband (which have disappeared … temporarily, I hope.) Rather, it is from the stress and strain of upgrading Gigglefern’s underpinnings. The good news is that it worked. Sort of. I have lots of work to do but at least it isn’t generic anymore. And the power is on. And I think Steve will get home. I checked out the mudslide reported by a neighbor. A new neighbor. Really … it’s just an itty bitty slide. But don’t let me tempt fate … there’s more rain in the forecast and you just never know. Especially the way my luck has been lately …

Hey!… What’s going on here???

Laura has been waiting to upgrade the software that the Gigglefern site is built on until she had time during the break from school and work. As soon as she would have had time, she got sick. Yesterday was the first day she felt up to the challenge, coincidentally, the same day as a brand new version of the software was released, but without documentation to upgrade from the version she has been using.

Today, the project began. As you can see, something in the process has “broken” all of the customizations that make Gigglefern look like Gigglefern (causing Laura great distress).

The icing on this cake is that before she had the opportunity to find the problem and correct it, the power went out! She called me at work and requested that I post this to let you know why you are seeing this version instead of what you expected to see.

A neighbor reports that there are currently 3 PG&E trucks working down the road, so hopefully the power will be back on soon and Laura will be able to restore the page to it’s former glory.

Also reported by the same neighbor is the possibility that there is an “active” mudslide in progress which may be in the process of blocking the road even as I post this.

Check back later for updates!

I’m not completely done with this flu but I’m feeling better enough to have enjoyed processing pictures of my sweetie. Both the cute-little-boy photos before I knew him, and the handsome-man photos afterwards. Made my heart go pitter-pat!

Happy birthday, Honey!
